A Case study with Java developers about automated refactoring. 


Dear developer we are performing an empirical study at Polytechnique Montreal on software anti-patterns and refactoring and we need your inputs . 

We contact you because of your experience on Java developement.  

The study consists of 20 refactoring patches proposed by developers and an automated software tool. The patches are divided into 4 groups.

The task consists of identifying if the refactoring patches  were generated by a developer or by software tool, and to vote them according to their quality.

Your participation will allow us to collect data to understand the perspective of developers about refactoring and to improve automated approaches.

This survey is anonymous and the collected data will be kept confidential

Participate  in a draw for an Amazon Card with a value of 80 CAD ((optional)).  

Each survey group  require between  10 to 15 minutes to be completed and you can fill one or more groups  Each group's questionaire  answered give you one ticket.
